Flavio Flutes
Flavio Martínez is a professional musician and he play traditional flutes from South-America. He listened to these beautiful flutes while in Mexico and became “enchanted” by the exotic and haunting sounds. In his performances, he uses a wide variety of flutes such as pan-pipe flutes from South-America like: quena, quenacho, panpipe flute, sikus, sanka, malta, ika, ocarina, rondador, etc. The songs he plays range from soothing and laid back sounds to the joyful and festive ones. His repertoire includes not only Andean music but all Latin Pop and International music suitable for all types of events. Flavio got a Bachelors Degree in Music Education by the Universidad de Guadalajara and he currently teaches music in a public school in Las Vegas Nevada and performs around the southwest mainly in concerts and festivals. Flavio is a multi instrumentalist beside the flutes he also play guitar and sing traditional Latin ballads he also plays cuatro from Venezuela, Charango from Bolivia and Jarana from México.
